Braintree District Council is thrilled to announce that the new skatepark at Ramsey Road, Halstead is open and ready for visitors to drop in.
Skateboarders, bikers, and scooter riders of all skill levels will find something to love in the freshly revamped layout. With ramps of varying heights, the skatepark is designed to cater to beginners finding their footing and seasoned pros seeking new challenges.
But that’s not all! The surrounding park area is undergoing a fantastic transformation. Soon, visitors will be able to enjoy new, accessible amenities for young children, relaxing hammocks for older youths, and a selection of outdoor gym equipment to boost everyone's recreational experience.
A spokesperson at Braintree District Council said, “We are delighted to celebrate the completion of the skatepark. The upcoming enhancements will further revitalise and modernise our recreational facilities. A big thank you to everyone who participated in the consultations and your input was invaluable in shaping this amazing new space for all to enjoy.”
Since its completion on June 28, the skatepark has already been buzzing with visitors eager to try out its new features. To mark this exciting development, the council is planning a community event and is calling on volunteers to help plan the celebrations. Everyone is welcome to join in on the day of the event and be a part of this vibrant new chapter for the community.
